Petroleum Engineering

Petroleum Engineering Department in Technological University Mandalay has been established and opened in 2002. Therefore Petroleum Engineering Department of TUM is 16 years old in engineering education service. Bachelor Degree in engineering and technology has been offered since. The petroleum industry is the backbone of the economy of our nation.

University’s land area is 65.37 acres (26.45 thousand square meters) and located at Patheingyi township of Mandalay City. University has over 400 staffs and 4435 undergraduate students who are learning their respective engineering and architecture program. Our Petroleum Engineering Department have 60 students who are learning in undergraduate programme receptively.

Mission

The Petroleum Engineering Programme has the primary mission of providing a quality engineering education with

  • To become a leading international center of excellence in education, training, research and professional service dedicated to serving the competence, training and technology development needs of the petroleum industry.
  • To produce undergraduate and graduate levels for successful, and socially and ethically responsible careers in the worldwide petroleum industry, and
  • To provide a platform for life-long learning while also emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary approach, ethical conduct, health, safety and environmental issues.

Laboratories and Workshops

Laboratories and particles are important part of the engineering curriculums. Department of Petroleum Engineering has Three Laboratories:

  • Software and Simulation Labs
  • Network and Communication Lab
  • Digital Electronics and Embedded Lab

Petroleum Engineering Department is located at Buiding (18) in Technological University (Mandalay).

Petroleum Engineering Department has 8 (full time) total number of teacher for teaching and lab.

Petroleum Engineering Department has 1 (full time) total number of staffs for office.

60 number of students are attending in Petroleum Engineering Programme at (2017-2018) Academic Year.

TUM

TUM is standing with the 63 years experiences of engineering education services. This is a great image of the University in Myanmar for long life education service.

TUM consists of six faculties and ten departments which are making efforts under the qualified process on teaching, learning and practical training for the outcomes based education of the students.
